Pain Sucks (That’s the Technical Term)
Mental, emotional, even physical pain can be so NOT fun.
But it’s also super common—especially when it comes to carrying physical pain that’s actually emotional pain in disguise. Let me explain.
For years as I was doing my work, I worked on releasing pain from my left shoulder. “Regular” people (I say lovingly, because as my mom used to say, I’ve “always been different”) might have gone to the doctors, gotten massages, and/or tried to figure out what the problem was purely from a physical angle.
It’s not that I didn’t get massages, because I do LOVE me a good massage, it’s that I knew the pain was actually caused by held emotions I needed to keep peeling away.
Just looking at it physically wasn’t going to get me anywhere if I wasn’t also willing to face the emotions.
So I kept digging in layer by layer until finally at a retreat with my mentor Jonathan Parker, I met and processed the hell realm until it was gone.
Along the way I saw creatures crawling out of the swamp, taking their masks off and hanging out drinking water by the cooler (you really can’t make this stuff up, I’m not that creative).
The reason doing your work and letting go of pain can be so frustrating is because when you process one layer, you often get access to the next…which you need to process before getting access to the next…and so on and so on.
It can feel like a never-ending cycle of pain in the same place until you get to the very core and release it (which, depending on the pain and how long it’s been there can take a while).
That’s exactly why I help people do their work.
And if you’ve ever been curious about how I really do it, it’s usually something like this (though it really depends on what’s coming up for YOU to heal):
Figure out the root cause of the pain (which I’m very good at because I’ve been doing my work for DECADES)
Connect with the intention to bring the pain into present time so we have access to clearing it
Ask to merge pure consciousness of the highest healing vibrations into your body where you’re experiencing the pain
Cut cords with the patterns of misunderstanding that you need to pain to stay safe
Basically, I create the space you need to safely face the pain, process it, and finally, finally, finally let it go so it no longer kicks your booty.
The more willing you are to roll up your sleeves and dig in, the quicker, sooner, faster you’ll move through the tough stuff to get to the other side and be free!
